vs Callan Rydz
W0, L1
Last meeting: Callan Rydz 6-2 Steve Beaton (June 2019 – Players Championship)

PROSPECTS
The evergreen Steve Beaton needs no real introduction; he has been playing top level darts for over three decades and still maintains an excellent standard of play. The Bronzed Adonis is the highest ranked player in this group but has lost his last match against all of the other three competitors.

vs Callan Rydz
W1, L0
Last meeting: Matthew Edgar 6-3 Callan Rydz (Mar 2020 – UK Open)

PROSPECTS
Matt Edgar played in one of the PDC’s test events for the Home Tour but lost all four of his matches in a group containing Ted Evetts, Devon Petersen, Chris Dobey and Luke Humphries. He has some improving to do on that showing if he is to challenge for top spot.

vs Callan Rydz
W1, L1
Last meeting: Carl Wilkinson 5-0 Callan Rydz (Jan 2019 – PDC Q School)

PROSPECTS
Carl Wilkinson’s results and performances on the tour suggest it would be a surprise if he won this group but he does have wins in his last encounters against Beaton and Rydz so can’t be written off entirely.

CALLAN RYDZ

Last meeting: Callan Rydz 6-2 Steve Beaton (June 2019 – Players Championship)

vs Matthew Edgar

Last meeting: Matthew Edgar 6-3 Callan Rydz (Mar 2020 – UK Open)

vs Carl Wilkinson
W1, L1
Last meeting: Carl Wilkinson 5-0 Callan Rydz (Jan 2019 – PDC Q School)

PROSPECTS
Callan Rydz showed his ability when finishing at the top of the 2019 PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit and I think he has the potential to be in the mix for qualification from this group.

THREE PICKS FROM 3 DART ANALYST

Callan Rydz to score the most 180s vs Carl Wilkinson

Rydz is a more prolific 180 hitter than Wilkinson on the PDC tour and I think he is capable of outscoring him in this encounter.

Steve Beaton -1.5 handicap vs Matthew Edgar

Beaton lost to Edgar in their last meeting but he’s still got a 3-1 advantage on their head-to-head record and can extend that record with a victory whilst also covering a -1.5 handicap.

Callan Rydz to win the group

Many of the favourites have failed to win their group and, if Beaton does slip up, then Callan Rydz is capable of capitalising.
