- The Tigers were brilliant with bat and ball, especially when bowling in the second innings when they skittled the hosts for just 169 to set up the eight-wicket success but the likes of Liton Das will need to be at their best once again to deal with a New Zealand bowling attack with a point to prove.

Bangladesh will be riding the crest of a wave following their exhilarating victory over New Zealand last week. It was a stunning success, even more so because it ended the Blackcaps’ excellent unbeaten run on home soil as they handed them a first loss in 18 Test matches in New Zealand. The hosts will be desperate to put in a much-improved effort here as they aim to send Ross Taylor into retirement on a high and while the Tigers will prove to be tricky opponents once again, the Blackcaps can do enough to level the series.
