New Zealand once again batted first and put big runs on the board, which led to them bossing the game and eventually beating Pakistan again, this time by 21 runs. This means one more victory for the hosts would see them win the series with three games remaining, once again asserting their authority on home soil.
PAKISTAN
Pakistan’s bowlers continue to be hit around the park, conceding 194 runs in the second T20i, at least a decrease on the 226 they shipped in the first game. In response, Babar Azam made a half-century, but once again the tourists had too much to chase in the end, bowled out for 180 in an eventual 21-run defeat.
THE PREDICTION
Expect the third T20i to go a similar way as the first two matches should New Zealand end up batting first. Chasing could lead to a closer contest, but either way the superiority of the Black Caps and the way their batters have dismissed Pakistan’s bowling attack makes them well-worth backing to accrue an unassailable 3-0 series lead.
