It’s so important for league leaders Surrey to make the transition from white ball back to red ball smoothly and the expectation is that this should be managed easily. Surrey are a far superior team to Worcestershire with bat and ball and across the four scheduled days should wind up far too strong for the Pears. Therefore, back Surrey to come out on top in this encounter.

Sussex vs Derbyshire – 11:00 BST

Division Two leaders Sussex face off against bottom-placed Derbyshire looking to maintain or even extend their eight-point lead over second-placed Middlesex. Sussex have been excellent across the season so far and with Ollie Robinson spearheading the bowling attack, you’d expect them to take 20 wickets here. Confidence can be such a difference-maker and should help drive Sussex to victory here.

Middlesex vs Leicestershire – 11:00 BST

Middlesex are right in the mix of the Division Two title race and won’t want to slip up here at home to Leicestershire. When comparing the two bowling attacks, Middlesex are significantly more likely to bowl out their opponents twice and the hosts’ batting is definitely capable of gaining the runs required to record a victory. Although it won’t be easy, Middlesex are worth backing to overcome the Foxes.
