Gerwyn Price delivered the performance of the first round with his 2-0 victory over Sebastian Bialecki, with the in-form Welshman posting a ton-plus average - a fairly rare occurrence in this double-start format.
The Iceman now has an immediate chance for revenge against Ross Smith, who defeated him in the final of the World Series of Darts Finals just over a week ago.
Smith was also excellent in his 2-1 victory over Cameron Menzies, averaging just shy of 100, although he had to survive two missed match darts from his opponent, who played his own part in a high-quality encounter.
