Afghanistan’s nail-biting four run victory over Sri Lanka saw them reach the semi-finals for the second time in their history and set up a clash with England. Tom Prest’s side have hugely impressed across the tournament so far, particularly from a batting perspective having racked up scores of 320 and 362, whilst their last two matches have resulted in successful run chases. Whilst the Afghanistan bowling attack will pose arguably their biggest challenge so far, the expectation is that England will have simply too much firepower within their batting order and that their bowling is strong enough to restrict Afghanistan to a moderate score in comparison.
