Whilst West Indies reached the Plate Semi-Final courtesy of thrashing Papua New Guinea by 169 runs, United Arab Emirates squeezed through by one wicket in a thriller against Uganda. Whilst it has been a disappointing tournament for the hosts, who would have expected to make the Super League stage of the competition, but were edged out in a difficult Group, West Indies can restore some pride by winning the Plate section. As was the case against Papua New Guinea, the Windies are a superior side to their opponents here in all departments and provided they avoid any complacency, should come out on top.
