Following the signing of Robert Lewandowski, the Chicago Fire have managed four successive victories. That included three successive win in the league phase of the CONCACAF Leagues Cup against Necaxa, Santos Laguna and Cruz Azul.
The Portland Timbers begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting in the top nine and the play-off places. Portland most recently overcame Tijuana by three goals to one in the CONCACAF Leagues Cup the other day.
Portland will take confidence from that but this does appear to be a very tough test and so siding with Chicago is the way to go for this one at Soldier Field.
