Now there’s the opportunity of a ‘three-peat’ and whilst it’s not been the greatest year for this team compared to their usual high standards, the Italians will have no doubt been eying up this competition. Andrey Rublev and Mirra Andreeva each reached the quarter-finals last year, with the former alongside Karolina Muchova losing to Errani and Vavassori in straight sets. It would be a surprise if the champions did not go through.
