Wang Xinyu vs Harriet Dart prediction
Wang Xinyu picked up a scalp in the first-round of Wimbledon as she beat 15th seed Karolina Muchova in straight sets. However, that would be the highlight of her week as she fell at the next stage to Zeynep Sonmez. This would have been a disappointment for the Chinese player, after arguably the most impressive week of her career in the buildup as she went all the way from qualifying to the final of the German Open, her first ever WTA Tour final.
Xinyu will hope she can enjoy a similarly fine run in Prague this week and she gets her campaign underway against Great Britain’s Harriet Dart. Dart has endured a disappointing season and has just one win on a hard court on the WTA Tour this season, occurring in the first-round of the Australian Open back in January.
Xinyu leads the head-to-head 1-0 on the tour, coming from a set down to defeat Dart in the third-round of Wimbledon last year. She will be a commanding favourite to notch another victory against the struggling Briton.
