Viktorija Golubic vs Elisabetta Cocciaretto prediction

Viktorija Golubic will play her first match in three weeks, having not featured on the tour since her first-round defeat at Wimbledon to Ann Li. She’s reached two semi-finals in Ilkley and Malo, but her form has been an issue on hard court and she will be desperate for an encouraging run this week.

She will take on Elisabetta Cocciaretto in the first-round. The Italian is fresh off the back of her first title of the season after winning in Bastad. This was her fourth victory on the WTA Challenger Tour in her career. It’s been a very solid last few weeks for Cocciaretto, who also matched her best run at Wimbledon as he made the third-round for the second time.

Cocciaretto leads the head-to-head 1-0, having beaten Golubic 6-0 6-3 in the first-round of the Merida Open in 2023. Considering her recent form and edge in the matchup, it’s hard to look past the Italian in this one.
