Union Berlin preview: History at Union
Union Berlin have made history by becoming the first team in one of Europe’s top five leagues to appoint a woman as their coach for top-flight action with the arrival of Marie-Louise Eta on a caretaker basis until the end of the season.
34-year-old Eta, a former Germany youth international, has been in charge of the Union U19 side and will take over of the women’s team at the end of the season. She has replaced former Cologne boss Steffen Baumgart in the Union dugout.
Wolfsburg preview: Struggling Wolfsburg
Wolfsburg are looking as though they may become the latest fallen giant in Germany’s top-flight as they begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting second from bottom, four points off the playoff spot and seven points adrift of outright safety.
Even since the appointment of the experienced Dieter Hecking, Wolfsburg have continued to struggle with a 2-1 defeat at home to Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend extending their winless run of form to 12 matches.

Union Berlin vs Wolfsburg prediction
The reason for Union making a managerial change is because they were in a position to push for a top seven finish and European qualification once again about a month or so ago but they have drifted into the bottom-half of the table with just one win in their last six matches. They now face a Wolfsburg side that have completely collapsed in the second-half of this season and it is an excellent opportunity for further history to be made at the Alten Foresterei.
