TOMAS MARTIN ETCHEVERRY VS ARTHUR RINDERKNECH PREDICTION
World number 29 Tomas Martin Etcheverry reached the quarter-finals here last summer, before falling to Alexander Zverev in four sets, and the Argentine will be a tough draw for most here.
The 24-year-old finished runner-up to Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in three sets at the Lyon Open last weekend, certainly a missed opportunity for a first title, but he bounced back on Tuesday, coming back from a set down to make relatively short work of Arthur Cazaux. Etcheverry will have to face another Frenchman here in world number 69 Arthur Rinderknech but a similar outcome seems likely.
28-year-old Rinderknech is enjoying a good moment on clay after a tough past two seasons overall but, despite a straight-sets win over Adam Walton on Tuesday, he should struggle to find enough answers against this uber-consistent opponent. Back the Argentine to reach the third round.
