The 24-year-old recently won his third career ATP title at the inaugural Dallas Open in February and he finished runner-up at Delray Beach to Cam Norrie a week later. World number 361 Gijs Brower is the story of the week so far in Houston, though, as he dismissed J.J. Wolf for just two games on Thursday to reach the quarter-finals on his ATP tour debut. The 26-year-old has also beaten Feliciano Lopez this week for impressive fare but it is highly unlikely that he has the tools to dismantle one of the most powerful serves on tour.
