Hold off on this match until world number 506 Michail Pervolarakis takes to court to face Lorenzo Musetti here, with Greece’s teenage hero Stefanos Sekelleridis a potential late replacement. 26-year-old Pervolarakis lost his only United Cup in comfortable straight sets to Bulgaria’s Dimitar Kuzmanov on Friday and he was dropped for the second tie with Belgium, where Sekelleridis came back from a set down to stun Zizou Bergs. 18-year-old Sekelleridis, ranked outside the top 800, lost in straight sets to Borna Gojo in Greece’s 3-2 victory over Croatia on Wednesday and it remains to be seen if he will keep his place. It matters little, though, as world number 23 Lorenzo Musetti should have no trouble in either mis-match after a dominant win over Poland’s Daniel Michalski helped take Italy into the semi-finals of the United Cup as the best-performing loser of the city finals. Musetti has won all three of his singles matches so far and he can be backed to take this in comfortable straight sets.
