28-year-old Marcos Giron set a new career-high ATP world ranking of 52nd this week after some recent superb form saw him beat Pablo Carreno Busta in three sets at the Mexican Open and Taylor Fritz at the Dallas Open. The American has reached the round of 16 at the Paris Masters in consecutive seasons and he has also enjoyed some excellent results at Indian Wells and Miami to look the slight favourite here against Marton Fucsovics. 30-year-old Fucsovics is one of the more streakier players on tour and he is currently struggling on a three-match losing streak from the quarter-finals of the Qatar Open last month. The Hungarian has been well-in his losses this season, though, so backing Giron to win at least a set as the likelier of two capable winners seems the sensible move here.
