THE PREDICTION
24-year-old Jodie Burrage came back from a set down to beat Anita Raina on Tuesday and the Brit will break her current career-high WTA world ranking of 95th no matter the outcome of this intriguing round of 16 clash. Burrage reached a maiden WTA tour final at the Nottingham Open last month before finishing runner-up to Katie Boulter and it will be interesting to see how she can push on across the hardcourt season as a very inexperienced tour competitor. 25-year-old Lucrezia Stefanini is one win away from breaking the top 100 herself for the first time after upsetting Linda Fruhvirtova in straight sets on Tuesday. The Italian claimed only her second tour win of the season against Fruhvirtova to boost some likely flailing confidence but a first meeting between the two here sees Burrage with the better recent form. Three sets seem much likelier than two so consider taking Burrage to earn at least a set or risk the three set option.
