World number 42 Marie Bouzkova has endured a really tough start to 2024 but she upset 29th seed Veronika Kudermetova in straight sets on Sunday for a huge confidence boost.

World number 135 Jana Fett beat Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in three sets to prove just how dangerous lucky losers can be, having lost to Zeynep Sonmez in qualifying. The Croat has nothing to lose in this already dream Roland-Garros debut but Bouzkova should be able to avoid an upset. Back the Czech to reach the third round.
