Virat Kohli was at his brilliant best in game one, scoring an unbeaten 139 in India’s run chase of 296 against West Indies. Shubman Gill also hit a century as India reached their victory target having lost just two wickets and with over eight overs remaining. West Indies were outclassed and their bowling attack could not handle such quality batters.
It’s hard to see things changing in Guwahati. This time though, Rohit Sharma could be the one to step up for the hosts. He hit 32 in the first game with Shubman and Kohli doing all the hard work. Don’t be surprised to see Rohit have a big innings this time around and backing him to strike at least 50 runs warrants serious consideration.
