Caty McNally vs Dayana Yastremska prediction

Caty McNally’s 2026 season has been an encouraging return towards the level she showed before injuries disrupted her career. The American has climbed to 68 in the world and produced her best WTA 1000 result of the season in Toronto, reaching the third-round after beating Tatjana Maria and Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova. She has also advanced to four tour-level quarter-finals. McNally has not competed since the US Open, where she beat Anouk Koevermans in straight sets before a loss to Emma Navarro, despite winning the first set. 

Dayana Yastremska’s campaign has moved in the opposite direction. She began the season ranked inside the top 30, but poor results have seen her slip to around 111 in the world. Yastremska did win a WTA 125 event in Parma, but has failed to reach a tour-level quarter-final and has just one third-round appearance on the WTA Tour throughout 2026. Her losing run extended to four matches after a defeat at Flushing Meadows to Lucrezia Stefanini.

Yastremska does lead the head-to-head 2-0, but they have not faced each other since March 2023. McNally has been the more dependable player this year.
