World number 82 Facundo Bagnis beat Henri Laaksonen in straight sets on Friday to reach the second round of Indian Wells for a second time. The Argentine lost to a teenage Alexander Zverev at this stage of the tournament back in 2017, with his victory over Laaksonen only his second at Masters level.
LLOYD HARRIS
World number 32 Lloyd Harris has struggled for form so far this season, with six-straight losses snapped last week in the Davis Cup round robins. The 25-year-old finished runner-up to Aslan Karatsev at the Dubai Tennis Championships last season but he steadily improved throughout the year to reach the quarter-finals of the US Open.
THE PREDICTION
This is a real head-scratcher between Facundo Bagnis and Lloyd Harris with the South African likely to win this in straight sets in normal service. However, the 25-year-old is bang out form and likely to drop at least a set here, so backing Bagnis to continue some decent form if his own to win at least one looks a decent option here.
