World number 13 Emma Raducanu beat Caroline Garcia in three sets in the second round of Indian Wells two weeks ago before a tight three-set defeat to Petra Martic in the third. The 19-year-old famously won the US Open last season, becoming the first qualifier to do so, not long after bursting onto the scene in a run to the round of 16 at Wimbledon as a wildcard.
KATERINA SINIAKOVA
World number 51 had to come back from a set down to beat qualifier Rebecca Marino on Wednesday to reach the second round in successive Masters events. The 25-year-old is a seasoned doubles champion alongside Barbora Krejcikova, with whom she currently holds two Grand Slams and the WTA Finals title. Siniakova also owns two WTA singles titles from the Shenzhen Open and Bastad Open in 2017.
THE PREDICTION
