World number 77 Benjamin Bonzi has endured a tough 2023 hampered by injuries, a shame after such a positive start in reaching his first tour final in Pune back in January, but this looks a decent opportunity for some last minute joy. A first meeting with Dusan Lajovic is always a tricky task as the Serb is one of the more erratic players on tour who is occasionally capable of a blistering performance, as he did to stun Novak Djokovic en-route to the Banja Luka Open title back in April.
