THE PREDICTION
This is an intriguing second round clash between world number 44 Lloyd Harris and number 14 Denis Shapovalov, with Harris winning both of their previous meetings. The South African has seriously struggled for form this season but he will be pleased with a straightforward win over Facundo Bagnis for the second-successive tournament. 12th seed Shapovalov reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open before losing in five tight sets to Rafael Nadal in January but he has since struggled to impose himself on a tournament. Harris beat the Canadian in straight sets at the US Open last September and in three to reach the Dubai Tennis Championships final earlier in the season, so backing him to win at least a set here and leaving the winner up to chance looks a shrewd move here.
