Current world number 610 Daria Saville is a sleeping giant outside of the top 100 as a former world number 21 from 2017 and she has so far jumped more than 200 places in the WTA world rankings this week in Guadalajara. The 27-year-old made short work of Caroline Dolehide on Thursday after surviving the longest match of the WTA season so far as Emma Raducanu was forced to retire from their third set on Tuesday. World number 57 Sloane Stephens is playing her first tournament since losing to Raducanu at last month’s Australian Open and she is yet to drop a set after two comfortable wins so far this week. The former world number three should be storming through this second meeting with Saville (née Gavrilova) but the Aussie’s confidence looks on the up following her long absence from the game and this match looks like something of a coupon buster. Take Stephens to win at least a set or better still leave this match alone, although a one-off on Saville to take at least a set could prove valuable.
