THE PREDICTION

This is the fourth final played between world number three Daniil Medvedev and number four Jannik Sinner this season but it will be their first time facing off with the Italian having won their previous clash. Sinner stunned the field at the Beijing Open earlier this month, beating Carlos Alcaraz and then Medvedev in straight sets apiece, and this will be a fascinating rematch with Medvedev currently leading their head-to-head 6-1. 27-year-old Medvedev beat Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets on Saturday to build on a strong week in Vienna but dropped sets to Grigor Dimitrov and Karen Khachanov say he is more vulnerable than usual. 22-year-old Sinner has certainly enjoyed the kinder route through to the final but doing so without dropping a set makes backing him to earn at least one a tempting alternative to picking a winner here. If forced to, however, back defending champion Medvedev to turn the screw here as he as done in so many of his head-to-heads with top players.

BETTING TIP: Jannik Sinner to win a set.
