BRANDON NAKASHIMA VS ANDREY RUBLEV PREDICTION

Brandon Nakashima is enjoying a sensational week so far having come through the qualifier and then beating Denis Shapovalov and Tommy Paul. The win over Paul especially was impressive having seen Paul level at 1-1 and then Nakashima dominated the third winning 6-1. Paul did have some fitness concerns but Nakashima took full advantage and deserved the win.

He now meets Andrey Rublev and the Russian remains wildly unpredictable. For all his talent, he still appears capable of grasping defeat from the jaws of victory. He has already played Nakashima once this year on clay in Barcelona and it was Nakashima that won 6-4 7-6. Nakashima will fancy his chances even more so on hard courts and based on form, it is hard to go against the young American.

Of course, Rublev may turn up and play close to his best and that level is more than capable of winning this match. While we edge Nakashima, our preference here is set betting and over 2.5 sets is the way to go here.
