The 28-year-old has only won at a Grand Slam on four previous occasions and he could be about to enjoy a resurgent year on tour after dropping out of the top 100 in 2019. Daniel claimed his only ATP tour title to date at the Istanbul Open on clay in 2018.
THE PREDICTION
With a customary five-set epic already in his legs Andy Murray desperately needs a straightforward match to recuperate ahead of what looks like a really tough third round clash with Jannik Sinner.
