ALEXANDER ZVEREV VS BEN SHELTON PREDICTION

Alexander Zverev has looked impressive in the opening rounds and after Carlos Alcaraz was eliminated, he is favoured by many to be the one to push Jannik Sinner for the title this weekend.

Zverev was pushed by Karen Khachanov and the Spanish veteran Pablo Carreno Busta more than the scoreline suggests. He always had the edge however and that quality shone through.

He now faces a fired up Ben Shelton who is a real fans' favourite in Cincinnati. The crowd are responding to the passionate 23-year-old and he is delivering.

He has done well this week and his serve has helped get him out of some sticky situations. He really will have to be at his best against Zverev however.

The pair have not before and it will be interesting to see how their styles match up. Our gut feel is that Zverev will just have too much quality but this could go all the way to three sets. Zverev is playing well but not firing on all cylinders. Carreno Busta was able to break him a couple of times and Shelton can do the same. Zverev should still have enough to edge this though
