The big question mark here is whether Denmark can replicate the performance levels shown in their stunning victory over Group A winners Canada, which saw them restrict a team who had scored 34 points across the group stage and with the likes of Sidney Crosby among their ranks to just one point over the course of three periods in a 2-1 win. Frederik Dischow was outstanding in goal and will need to be so again here, with Switzerland having thrashed Austria 6-0 in the last eight, sending a message to their opponents that their table topping Group B campaign didn’t happen by accident.

Whilst you simply cannot write off Denmark with home advantage and after what they did to Canada, we so often see a team coming off the back of such a notable triumph struggle the game after when considering how much the previous match took out of them.
