THE PREDICTION
Toulon were not embarrassed in an 18-16 defeat to new Top 14 leaders Montpellier last Saturday but their season continues to trudge along. They have managed three wins from their last five in the league to at least keep the bottom two at bay but this is a tough test at home to La Rochelle, who bring a three-match winning streak with them. The visitors predictably beat Brive 41-15 at home last time out but a recent 16-22 away victory is a rare and precious commodity in the Top 14 even if it did come at gung-ho Pau. Toulon have not managed to convince for long enough this season to suggest any win at home is a given and in fact backing La Rochelle with a generous +5 head-start could be the shrewd move here.
