THE PREDICTION

This should be a vastly exciting spectacle between the current Premiership leaders Leicester Tigers and hosts Bordeaux Begles, who just usurped Toulouse at the top of the French Top 14 with a 17-7 victory over the domestic and European champions. Bordeaux take a two-match winning streak into this home game having beaten two of the best teams in their division but the visitors also beat their domestic champions Harlequins in a 16-14 result last Sunday. The parallels between the two sides make for what should be the match of the weekend on Saturday afternoon but Leicester’s 100% record for the season looks under significant threat here. This one is probably worth keeping away from an accumulator but taking the hosts to edge this outright, or perhaps Leicester with a +4 head-start, seem reasonable options.
