THE TEAM NEWS
CATALANS DRAGONS
- Catalans Dragons made it a perfect ten Super League victories in succession but they once again had to produce a second half fightback when overcoming Hull KR last week and that is something head coach Steve McNamara wants to fix here.
- His side have trailed at the break in their last three outings so a quick start is something McNamara will hope his side can produce here and with the return of James Maloney from suspension and Michael McIlorum from injury, the Dragons will hope to achieve that to boost their hopes of an 11th straight win.
21-man squad: Bousquet, Chan, Da Costa, Davies, Drinkwater, Dudson, Goudemand, Jullien, Kasiano, Langi, Le Cam, Maloney, McIlorum, Mourgue, Rouge, Seguier, J. Tomkins, S. Tomkins, Whare, Whitley, Yaha
Unavailable: Jason Baitieri, Mike McMeeken, Ben Garcia, Arthur Romano
Questionable: Michael McIlorum
WAKEFIELD TRINITY
- Wakefield Trinity suffered a third straight loss as Wigan Warriors proved to be too good for them last week and had it not been for a couple of late consolation tries, Trinity would have been kept scoreless.
- They are struggling on both sides of the ball but having failed to surpass 14 points in their last five matches, it is clear that they must improve ahead of this clash with the in-form league leaders or face yet another loss.
19-man squad: Arona, Arundel, Ashurst, Aydin, Batchelor, Battye, Fifita, Green, Hampshire, Jowitt, Kay, Kershaw, Lino, Lyne, Miller, Senior, Tanginoa, B. Walker, K. Wood
Unavailable: Josh Wood, Bill Tupou, Tom Johnstone, Jordan Crowther, Jack Croft, Joe Westerman, Jay Pitts, Alex Walker
Questionable: Max Jowitt
THE PREDICTION
Catalans Dragons had to produce another second half come-from-behind
victory last week as they defeated Hull KR to solidify their place at
the top of the Super League table. That was their tenth straight win in
Super League and they are well-fancied to make it 11 as they take on
struggling Wakefield Trinity in this one. The visitors have lost their
last three and have barely laid a glove on their opponent in those
matches. Catalans on the other hand have averaged just under 34 points
per game in their last four so they should have too much for Trinity and
they can cover -16.
