Following their fairly surprising promotion to the top-flight last season, Pisa have often been competitive and difficult to play against but the Tuscans have only managed one win in their 18 matches as they sit in the bottom three and the relegation places.

Coached by Cesc Fabregas, the ambitious and big spending Como begin this midweek round of fixtures sitting tucked inside the top six in Serie A and just a few points outside of the top four and the UEFA Champions League spots.
The visitors have earned themselves back-to-back victories either side of the turn of the year and they most recently managed to defeat Udinese by a goal to nil at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, courtesy of an 18th minute Lucas Da Cunha penalty.

Despite the way in which they play in terms of getting themselves on the front foot and seeking to dictate the play with an impressive, easy on the eye style of football, Como have lacked quality in the final third and have lacked goals. They face a Pisa side that have only ever really been able to be competitive by sitting back and difficult to play against so a low-scoring away win is to be expected for this one in Tuscany.
