Marta Kostyuk vs Emma Raducanu prediction

Marta Kostyuk fell to a surprising defeat to unseeded Veronika Erjavec in the first-round of Wimbledon last time out. The Ukrainian’s form has taken a huge slide in recent weeks and she is without a victory in her last five matches. Nevertheless, Kostyuk did make the fourth-round of both Sunshine Double events and reached the last eight in Doha, highlighting how much of a threat she can be on a hard court.

Emma Raducanu’s Wimbledon run ended at the third-round stage despite a fine performance against Aryna Sabalenka. Raducanu served for the first set and earned a set point in the tiebreak, while she also went a break up in the second, but Sabalenka fought back to win in straight sets. It was still an encouraging tournament for the Brit, who defeated 2023 champion Marketa Vondrousova in the second-round.

Kostyuk leads the head-to-head 2-1 and 1-0 on hard court. If Raducanu can pick up where she left off, in terms of her movement and ball striking, she will be a firm favourite to defeat the out-of-form Ukrainian.
