Lorenzo Sonego vs Edas Butvilas prediction

Lorenzo Sonego has endured a difficult run of form in recent weeks and the Italian will be desperate to get a win under his belt. He has suffered first-round losses in his last three events after his return from a wrist injury and he will be hoping to get a much-needed victory under his belt.

Sonego has been handed a favourable draw on paper as he meets 21-year-old Lithuanian Edas Butvilas in the first round.

Butvilas came through two rounds of qualifying over the weekend to reach this stage as he beat experienced veterans Alexandre Muller and James Duckworth.

That will have given him plenty of confidence as he takes on Sonego and he will be motivated to upset the out-of-form Italian.

We would not rule out the Lithuanian winning a set here and even winning the match as Sonego is somewhat unpredictable at present. We suggest holding off on the match outcome and considering both players to win a set.
