Linda Noskova vs Anastasia Gasanova prediction
Linda Noskova is the top seed for her home tournament in Prague. She reached the final here in 2023 but will be hoping to go one step further this time around. She enjoyed a pretty strong grass court season, making the semi-finals of the Bad Homburg Open and then following that up with a fourth-round appearance at Wimbledon, her best result so far at SW19. She pushed eventual finalist Amanda Anisimova all the way but lost in three sets. Noskova doesn’t have the best record on hard courts this year, though did manage a last four finish in Abu Dhabi during the winter.
Her opponent will be Anastasia Gasanova, ranked 249 in the world. She came through the qualifying rounds to make the main draw. She mainly competes on the Challenger Tour, winning in Monastir just last month.
Noskova will be very motivated to do well at her home event this week and has shown how well she can compete here after making the final in 2023. Her form has been strong in recent weeks and we except a comfortable win to start off her campaign here.
