Latvia’s most recent group match against Austria saw them fall to a damaging 3-1 defeat, a result that had big ramifications for them when it comes to the table. They now find themselves six points behind opponents Finland, who won for a third time in what was their most impressive result yet, beating USA 6-2 after flying out of the traps with three unanswered goals in the first period.

Weathering an early Finnish storm will be key if Latvia are to have a chance in this game. Either way though, them being able to outscore their opponents is hard to see when looking at the numbers.
