Ipswich vs Middlesbrough prediction

Kieran McKenna's Ipswich seemingly made automatic promotion a certainty with an 'Old Farm Derby' defeat of Norwich City last weekend, but they have since succumbed to a 2-0 loss to relegation-threatened Portsmouth side at Fratton Park during the week.

They now face a 'Boro side that also lost to Pompey in their most recent outing, last weekend. The Teessiders have hit poor form at the wrong time with that defeat meaning that they have now endured a six-match winless run with just two victories in their last 11 matches since they went to the top-of-the-table.

The Smoggies are now in a battle to finish in the top four and get a home leg for their playoff tie, should it come to that. Ipswich aren't overly trustworthy, though, albeit the Tractor Boys are the team to at least be sided with.

Ipswich vs Middlesbrough tip: Double chance - Ipswich to win or draw
