Hugo Gaston advanced into the round-of-16 at the Swedish Open after defeating Chun-Hsin Tseng 6-4 6-3 in the first-round. Gaston nabbed an early break in set one which proved to be the difference and mostly dominated the second. He was very productive when it came to taking his break point opportunities, converting four out of the five available.
He will go up against Damir Dzumhur next. The Bosnian ended a four match losing streak with a fine performance against Sebastian Ofner. He was 4-1 down in the second set but Dzumhur came roaring back to reel off five straight games and seal a 6-4 6-4 victory.
Dzumhur has struggled as of late but the return to clay, a surface he has performed well on in the past, may just be the catalyst for another deep run at a tournament. We view him as a slight favourite against Gaston and would favour him to make it through to the last eight.
