THE LOWDOWN

SEVILLA

It, for a second successive season, took Sevilla three managers in order to steer themselves away from the bottom three and the relegation places. The Andalusians moved on from both Jose Luis Mendilibar and Diego Alonso before the appointment of former Watford and Espanyol boss Quique Sanchez Flores.

Their performances have been really underwhelming of late and yet their results and form would suggest they are one of the absolute most in-form teams in the whole of Spain’s top-flight. However, they do come into this one on the back of an entertaining 3-2 defeat to Villarreal at El Madrigal with Alexander Sorloth scoring a 97th minute winner.

CADIZ

In January, Cadiz took the decision to part ways with long-term manager Sergio and replace him with former Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino and since then the Yellow Submarine have majorly improved and have given themselves a chance of escaping the relegation zone as we head into the final few matches of the campaign.

It is a very narrow chance, though. The Yellow Submarine come into this one on the back of a vital but slender 1-0 defeat of Getafe in their most recent outing at Estadio Nueva Mirandilla, last weekend. Ruben Alcaraz scored a 35th minute penalty in that game to win the game, ending a four-match winless run of form.

THE TEAM NEWS

SEVILLA

The likes of Erik Lamela and Oliver Torres remain unavailable for Sevilla as they welcome Cadiz alongside Nemanja Gudelj, Djibril Sow and Isaac Romero.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Nyland; Bade, Ramos, Salas; Navas, Soumare, Agoume, Acuna; Ocampos, Lukebakio; En-Nesyri

QUESTIONABLE:

CADIZ

Aiham Ousou remains a doubt for this weekend, whilst the likes of Jorge Mere, Luis Hernandez, Jose Mari and Rominigue Kouame are all unavailable for this one.

PREDICTED XI (4-4-2): Ledesma; Zaldua, Fali, Chust, J. Hernandez; Sobrino, Escalante, Ruben Alcaraz, Navarro; Roger, Ramos

UNAVAILABLE: Mere (Injured), Mari (Injured), Kouame (Injured), L. Hernandez (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Ousou (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

We have an Andalusian derby that just about has something riding on it. Cadiz go to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan knowing that a victory would set them up quite well for their final two matches of the season against Las Palmas and then Almeria on the final day of the campaign. Sevilla had been unbeaten in five matches in the league before their loss at the weekend. Given that Cadiz need all three points and have been improved themselves, there could well be value in siding with the away team.

TIP: DOUBLE CHANCE – CADIZ TO WIN OR DRAW
