Lazio returned to winning ways thanks to a narrow success on the road against Udinese last week. In a tight affair with little to split the teams, it needed a Ciro Immobile penalty just after the hour-mark to secure all three points for Lazio.
Having failed to win either of their last two, it was a welcome result for Lazio with that solidifying their spot in second place and it also ensured that they will be playing UEFA Champions League football next season.
It has been a great season for them but they will want to end their home campaign on a high. They have been strong on home soil having lost just two of their last 11 league games in front of their own fans.
CREMONESE
Cremonese saw their relegation to Serie B confirmed as they suffered a huge loss to Bologna last week. It was a 1-5 reverse with Daniel Ciofani’s consolation effort in injury time doing little to preserve any pride.
They now sit seven points off 17th-placed Spezia with just six points to play for having lost their last two and winning only one of their last six games in all competitions.
On the road, it has been a wretched season for Cremonese with just one win to their name so far and it is hard to envisage them improving on that record in this contest.

This looks like a real mismatch as second-placed Lazio take on Cremonese. The visitors have been relegated which has largely occurred as a result of their woeful away record and that could be telling here. Lazio are also strong on home soil having lost just two of their last 11 and with Cremonese winning once on the road all season in the league, there is little to suggest that the hosts will not prevail here.
