THE TEAM NEWS
SASSUOLO
- Sassuolo produced a strong response to their heavy loss against Atalanta as they put a huge dent in Internazionale’s title aspirations with a late goal ensuring they secured a point from an entertaining clash.
- Francesco Caputo gave Sassuolo an early lead but Inter hit back to go in ahead at the break with the score remaining at 2-1 until a frantic final 10 minutes when Domenico Berardi levelled from the spot.
- Inter then retook the lead before Giangiacomo Magnani equalised with just a minute remaining and they will be boosted by the return of Marlon here although Jeremy Toljan is still doubtful.
HELLAS VERONA
- Hellas Verona would have been full of confidence ahead of their home match with Napoli but were not good enough as they succumbed to a 0-2 loss and they will be eager to respond as they head to Sassuolo.
- The game was still in the balance approaching the closing moments but Napoli secured a second to seal the win in the 90th minute, although Verona will be content that they were still in the game so late into the game.
- In a blow ahead of this game, Verona have lost the services of right-back Davide Faraoni after he was shown his fifth booking of the season in the loss to Napoli and he will serve a one-match ban.
THE PREDICTION
Sassuolo earned a valiant point against Internazionale in their most recent outing and they will take plenty from the character they showed to twice draw level having fallen behind. They now have a tricky test at home to Hellas Verona who were beaten by Napoli in midweek. Both sides will believe they can come out on top here and in what should be an open game, plenty of goals are likely.
