THE PREDICTION

This Bavarian derby should be quite one sided. Bayern Munich come into this on the back of a 2-0 victory at home to Paris Saint-Germain to complete a 3-0 aggregate win in the Round of 16 of their UEFA Champions League tie. The home team are in a competitive title race, though, only beginning this weekend’s round of fixtures at the top-of-the-table on goal difference above Borussia Dortmund. They now face an Augsburg side that come into this on the back of a 2-1 win at home to Werder Bremen to continue their inconsistent run of form. Only two teams have scored fewer than the visitors and a comfortable Bayern win is expected with winning to nil a potentially good bet, too.
