THE LOWDOWN

TOTTENHAM

  • Once again, Tottenham proved their bounce-back ability following a poor result, responding to their 3-2 loss against Man Utd last weekend, with a comfortable 2-0 win away at Brighton four days later and three points here would take them above West Ham in the Premier League table.
  • Little has changed on the injury front for Antonio Conte, who remains unable to call upon Ryan Sessegnon, Oliver Skipp or Japhet Tanganga due to injury, so an unchanged starting XI is on the cards for Spurs.

WEST HAM

  • West Ham come into the one on the back of arguably their biggest win in many years this past Thursday night, as they overturned a one-goal aggregate deficit to beat Spanish side Sevilla after extra-time at the London Stadium, advancing to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
  • Jarrod Bowen is likely out until after the international break which is a big blow for the Hammers who are also expected to once again be without Vladimir Coufal and Angelo Ogbonna.

THE TEAM NEWS

TOTTENHAM

PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Doherty, Betancur, Hojbjerg, Reguilon; Kulusevski, Son; Kane

UNAVAILABLE: Sessegnon (Injured), Skipp (Injured), Tanganga (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE:

WEST HAM

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Fabianski; Johnson, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell; Soucek, Rice, Lanzini; Fornals, Antonio, Benrahma

UNAVAILABLE: Coufal (Injured), Ogbonna (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Bowen (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Tottenham don’t need any motivation for this clash as the opportunity to leapfrog David Moyes’ side in the Premier League presents itself in North London. Whilst momentum within the West Ham camp will be sky-high following that amazing Sevilla victory, one can only imagine how much that triumph will have taken out of the West Ham players physically, playing 120 minutes plus stoppage time. This likely bodes well for the hosts, who will look to come out of the blocks quickly and maintain that tempo throughout the game, which should see the Hammers tire as proceedings go on. Ultimately, West Ham may well suffer from a case of ‘after the Lord Mayor’s show’ at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and with that in mind, back Spurs to emerge victorious.

Tip: TOTTENHAM TO WIN
