THE LOWDOWN

LIVERPOOL

Liverpool returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a hard-fought Merseyside Derby win over Everton last Saturday, with the Reds' two goals coming from a typical source in Mo Salah.

A heavily rotated side then put Toulouse to the sword on Thursday with Jurgen Klopp's men recording a resounding 5-1 win over the French side in the Europa League.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Nottingham Forest have drawn four of their last five games in the Premier League, but it will have felt like two points dropped last weekend when they conceded twice late on to promoted side Luton.

Filling in for the injured Taiwo Awoniyi, Chris Wood excelled up front as his two second-half goals out Forest on the verge of a third Premier League win of the season, but Luton had other ideas with Chiedozie Ogbene and Elijah Adebayo spoiling the party.

THE TEAM NEWS

LIVERPOOL

Klopp rested several of his first-team players in Thursday's Europa League tie, but is likely to revert to something similar to the team that beat Everton last week, although Darwin Nunez could perhaps replace Diogo Jota up front.

Curtis Jones completes his suspension, while Andy Robertson, Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago Alcantara and Ben Doak are in the treatment room, although the latter could be involved in the squad.

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Nunez, Diaz

UNAVAILABLE: Robertson (Injured), Bajcetic (Injured), Thiago (Injured), Jones (Suspended)

QUESTIONANABLE: Doak (Injured)

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Steve Cooper will hope that Anthony Elanga has overcome an illness in order to participate, as he combined effectively with Chris Wood last week.

The Forest boss does not expect any of his injured players to return to the fold for this fixture, which means top scorer Taiwo Awoniyi will be absent once more.

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Turner; Aurier, Boly, Murillo, Toffolo; Dominguez, Mangala, Sangare; Gibbs-White, Wood, Elanga

UNAVAILABLE: Aina (Injured), Montiel (Injured), Nuno Tavares (Injured), Danilo (Injured), Felipe (Injured), Hudson-Odoi (Injured), Origi (Injured), Awoniyi (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Elanga (illness)

THE PREDICTION

This fixture will certainly not be a walk in the park for Liverpool, as Nottingham Forest's only Premier League defeats of the season have come against the so called 'big' clubs, but given the attacking talent in the Liverpool ranks, the visitors will find it difficult to hold on. Mo Salah is in particularly rich goalscoring form right now, and the confident Egyptian can be expected to add to his goal tally in this one.

BETTING TIP: MO SALAH TO SCORE ANYTIME
