Of the three teams looking to avoid the drop on the final day, Everton are in the best position to survive given that they have the points advantage and they face a home game against a team with very little to play for as the Premier League season comes to a conclusion.
Facing Wolves last weekend, things were not going well for the Toffees when Hwang Hee-Chan put Wolves in front in the first half, especially as a win would have guaranteed their Premier League status for another season. However, the second prize of a draw could yet prove to be decisive in their survival, as Yerry Mina struck deep into injury-time to secure a dramatic point.
BOURNEMOUTH
It is now three straight defeats for Bournemouth, whose form has taken dip in May, but Gary O'Neil knows that the hard work was done in April when five wins from seven games went a long way towards ensuring their safety. Many had tipped Bournemouth for an immediate return to the Championship after their promotion last season, but they have proven the doubters wrong with a well-organised approach that is much to the credit of O'Neil and his staff.
Their last outing was the visit of Champions League-hunting Man Utd last Saturday, and it was just the one goal that separated the sides as Casemiro put the visitors ahead after just nine minutes. In truth, the Cherries did well to prevent Utd from extending their lead thereafter, and could even have taken a point had David de Gea not saved smartly from Kieffer Moore.

EVERTON
Sean Dyche has confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss out, so either Demarai Gray or Neal Maupay will deputise up front. Nathan Patterson is another absentee having exited the game against Wolves with a thigh injury, and with full-back options limited, Dyche may have to get creative with the options available to him. Dwight McNeil filled in at left-back last time out but may need to shift to the right if Vitalii Mykolenko can recover in time to feature.
A 4-1-4-1 system was adopted against Wolves, but injuries may force Dyche's hand into reverting to a back three and a wing-back system for this crucial game.

Gary O'Neil made a raft of changes for the defat to Man Utd last weekend, but could bring plenty of his regulars back here. Chris Mepham and Matias Vina were afforded rests but could find themselves in the back four again, while Joe Rothwell should slot straight back into defensive midfield assuming he overcomes a thigh injury.
The Cherries boss is hopeful that Hamed Traore can make an appearance after an ankle issue, and Philip Billing has been declared fit and available for selection after a back complaint kept him out against Man Utd.

THE PREDICTION
It may be the case that Everton can afford to lose and still survive relegation for this first time in over 70 years, but San Dyche will not want to leave their fate up to chance. Fortunately for them, they face a side who have nothing but pride to play for on the final day, and that is not likely to be enough against an Everton side roared on by a vociferous Goodison Park. It may be tight and edgy to begin with, but if there is going to be a winner here, it is surely going to be the hosts.
