THE PREDICTION

With many of Man City’s regular first team players likely not to feature in the Community Shield due to their international exploits this summer, FA Cup winners Leicester have a great opportunity to secure the first silverware of the new season. However, Brendan Rodgers’ side suffered a savage blow in their final pre-season game after key centre-back Wesley Fofana was stretched off with a suspected broken leg following a very poor tackle by Villarreal’s Fer Nino. This will greatly weaken the Foxes defensively with the experience Jonny Evans absent through injury and Man City may take advantage. The Premier League champions will represent strong opposition no matter what side they put out and could even hand a debut to new £100m signing Jack Grealish, although they may also struggle defensively against a team who have racked up six goals across their last two pre-season fixtures. With that in mind, consider both teams to score here in what should be an entertaining contest at Wembley.
