Filip Misolic vs Nuno Borges prediction
Filip Misolic got the better of Elmer Moller in a close three set match to advance further at the Swedish Open. The contest went to a deciding set, which saw four breaks of serve, until Misolic finally dealt the killer blow at 6-5 up on serve to win 6-3 3-6 7-5. He has five wins from his last six matches, including qualifying.
Nuno Borges prepares for the defence of his title against Misolic. The Portuguese won his first ATP Tour title at the event in 2024, beating Rafael Nadal in the final, one of the Spanish great’s last ever tournaments as a professional player. He’s coming into this event on the back of his best ever Wimbledon, as he made the third-round for the first time. However, Borges hasn’t particularly impressed on clay this year, with his best result being a last eight finish at the Estoril Challenger.
This is a difficult match for Borges as the defending champion, with Misolic performing at an encouraging level during these past few weeks. We favour the Portuguese to get through but it’s unlikely to be plain sailing.
Filip Misolic vs Nuno Borges tip: Nuno Borges to win 2-1
