FPL Blank Gameweek 30 – Team TSZ

Click here for today’s sports betting tips from our expert analysts!

'Team TSZ' is a collective FPL team where tough decisions are made during uncompromising board room meetings. Team TSZ finished a lofty 1390 in its debut year, and followed that up with a respectable 88178 in its second season. we don't talk about the third season. How will the fourth season go? Stay tuned!

‘Team TSZ’ consists of:

Trystan Pugh

Alex Sarwar

Adam Evans

HOW DID WE GET ON IN DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 29?

GW points: 114
GW average:
72
GW rank:
81,254
Overall rank:
204,193 (▲)

Team TSZ scored a pretty impressive 114 points with no chips used and just the one -4, with Alex’s decision to bring in Joel Matip proving an inspired one. Don’t tell him I wrote that. It could have been more, with 10 points sat on the bench in next season’s wildly overpriced FPL asset Jacob Ramsey, but a score within Gameweek 29’s top 100k is exactly where the team need to be. At 204,193 in the world right now, the guys look in good shape to reach their target of top 100k by the end of the season to bring this campaign back from several brinks.

It’s not as fun to recap when they’re good at it.

BLANK GAMEWEEK 30 TEAM

Formation: 3-5-2
Captain: Kane
Vice-captain: Son
Transfers made: FREE HIT
Point deductions: N/A (just about)

It’s Free Hit time again in a Blank Gameweek 30 with just four fixtures. This is the kind of gameweek that can totally upend your family league tables if someone has been patient enough to hold on to that extra Free Hit chip (my brother for one) but proceed with caution! The rest of us will cower behind that ever-present sofa this weekend hoping for four 1-1 results, with goals scored by lesser-spotted goalscorers like Wolves’ Jonny, for example, or these days Michail Antonio.

Trystan had already planned out a Free Hit team that you can see above, with Alex largely agreeing because he was too busy to argue. The main debate was whether to choose Sergio Reguilon or Matt Doherty for Spurs’ home tie against West Ham on Sunday evening, which was enthralling stuff. Reguilon got the nod due to likelier minutes but in my opinion this match has 2-2 written all over it. That could suit Hueng-Min Son, who comes into the side based on Alex’s weekly premonition.

“Son is due a return” he said, sagely. “Son must want a goal.” One would hope, considering that is his main job at Spurs. His second role is, of course, Secret Handshake Coordinator. Despite Raphinha’s rumoured covid, the tactic is to start the Brazilian anyway and have Raul Jimenez waiting in the wings to deputise. Benching the Mexican against an only recently porous Leeds seems an odd choice here but the WhatsApp group would be entertaining if he scores a hat-trick before Raphinha comes on for an 89th-minute cameo.

Speaking of Jonny, Alex pushed hard for the wingback’s inclusion. Could it be a second-successive masterstroke? We shall find out this evening (DON’T FORGET THE 18:30 DEADLINE!)

Trystan sighed contentedly, rubbed his hands together for a job well done and almost pressed confirm without selecting the Free Hit chip. I would have laughed solidly for, approximately, the next three months.
